Hello! Thanks for dropping by. Let’s begin our journey with prayer.
Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
‘Give us this day our daily bread.
‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
‘And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen .’
Scripture: Philemon 8-21
Selected Passage: 8a:
“… though I have enough confidence in Christ…”
Lord Jesus, as we come into Your presence, we remember Who You are:
We declare that You are: the great “I Am,” the Holy One of Israel, my Rock, my Fortress, my
Deliverer, my Redeemer, my Shield, my Strength, my Stronghold, the Faithful Witness.
And so, I ask, “Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the gods?”
Lord Jesus, You are worthy of all my confidence. After all, where else can I go?
You have the words of Eternal Life.
Father, You have proven Your faithfulness in the sending of Your Son.
Jesus, You have proven Your faithfulness by coming all the way from heaven to the Cross.
Holy Spirit, You have proven Your faithfulness,
as you have never failed to draw me to the Father and the Son.
Are You worthy of my confidence? You are more than worthy! And You alone are worthy!
Where else shall I rest my confidence? In myself? But I have failed way too often.
In others? They, like me, also fail.
But You, Lord, are always and only faithful. You have never lied and never failed.
You have always kept all Your precious promises!
And so I must pray, “Forgive me, Lord.”
Forgive me for all the times I did not trust Your faithfulness;
For all the times I trusted myself or another person more than I trusted You.
(“The arm of flesh will fail you; ye dare not trust your own.)
Forgive me for all the times I walked by sight and not by faith.
Lord, help me. I believe, please help my unbelief.
By Your grace, I place my confidence in You. I rely completely on You and Your Word.
If I am truly confident in You then there will be no room left for worry or fretting.
If I am truly confident in You, then I will live in joy and peace!
If I am truly confident in You then I will treat you the way You deserve to be treated.
I will have faith in the All-Faithful One.
And I will love You. I will love You above all and anyone else.
Father, Son, Holy Spirit, I do love you, for You first love me.
I rejoice in Your love. I rest in Your love. I delight in Your love. I abide in Your love.
Holy Spirit, take me to my Father’s heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
