Greetings and God Bless You.
Thanks for coming along, today.
Let’s pray a prayer the Lord gave A.W. Tozer
O God, I have tasted Your goodness and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more.
I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire.
O God, the Triune God, I want to want You; I long to be filled with longing;
I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Your glory, I ask You, so that I may know You indeed.
Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, “Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.”
Then give me grace to rise and follow You up from this misty lowland where I have wandered so long.
Scripture Romans 12
Scripture Passage: Romans 12:6
“…do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.”
Who are You, Lord?
You are the “high and exalted One Who lives forever,
whose name is Holy, You dwell on a high and holy place,
and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” (Isa. 57:15)
Father, who am I that I should declare Your praises;
I who so easily mispresent You and fail to hallow Your Name?
Who are You?
You are the holy and humble One Who associates with the lowly.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of God.”
Father, show me, who are the “lowly” in my life?
Who are the lowly in my church?
Who are the lowly in my family?
Who are the lowly in my city?
Who are the people that I look down upon and think that I am, “better than?”
Who are the people that I think I am “wiser than?”
Father forgive me.
Forgive me for comparing myself with others so that I can feel myself superior.
Remind me, that I am “the chief of sinners.”
Lord Jesus, God-in-the-flesh, when did You ever exalt Yourself?
The Father exalted You, but You did not exalt Yourself.
Help me to join You, Lord. I want to be where You are.
Where are You?
With the lowly. And Father, let them become my teachers.
And let them please forgive me for my pride and arrogance.
I long to be where You are.
Where are You?
You have left me Your address.
It is with the lowly.
There, I will meet You, and You will meet me.
Love, Your son, Gene
