Paul

Greetings and God Bless You.

Thanks for stopping by. Our Lord has told us that the most important thing we can ever do is to love Him with all our heart, mind, and strength. So, today, let us set our hearts to love Him. Let us offer Him our hearts right now. And let us pray that He will draw us after Him, all the way to His heart.

Our Scripture is Romans 1:1-7, and 16-17. I invite you now to lay everything else aside, open your Bible, and prayerfully read these verses. As we read, may the Holy Spirit speak through a particular verse, phrase, or word to you. May the Word of God come alive in you. Now, let us read……

The passage that spoke to me is Romans 1:1, “Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God…” This is God’s Word to us. Let us respond to Him in prayer.

“Blessed Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in this one passage You tell us who You are. You are the great grace-giving, life-transforming, sin-forgiving, resurrecting, God. But should not this verse have read, “Paul, a Christian-killing, church-wasting, pride-filled, going-to-hell terrorist? Father, Paul/Saul was all that and more. And then, Lord, You met him on the road to Damascus. You blinded him so that You could open his eyes. And who did this terrorist become? He became a bondservant of Jesus Christ, an apostle, one set apart for the Gospel of God, and ultimately a martyr for Jesus Christ.

Father, if You can do this for Paul, You can and will do it for anyone. You even did it for me.

I was lost and did not know it. I was blind and You opened my eyes. I was trusting my own, filthy-rag righteousness, and You took my sins upon Yourself and gave me Your righteousness. I was dead in my trespasses and sins and You gave me eternal life. You gave me Jesus!

We confess, Lord, that all of this makes no sense. But that is because Your love is beyond all human comprehension. Lord, what can we say, but “Yes.” “Yes” to Your Cross and “Yes” to Your heart.

And Lord, if we have not yet told you today, we love You. What else can we do but love You and fall at your feet?”
