Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening, and God Bless You.
Whatever time of day it is, our Lord is waiting to meet with us. In fact, He is not only waiting, He is coming. And He is not only coming, He is drawing us into His Kingly chambers. Amazing, isn’t it? A one-on-one-audience with the King, at His request. Let us go to Him immediately and take our place at His feet. We listen to His Word. It is Isaiah 26:3-4.
“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.”
Now let us be still before Him. May His divine words sink deeply into our hearts. With reverence and love, let us respond to Him, in prayer.
Who are You, Lord? You are the Faithful One. You are the Worthy One. You are the Everlasting Rock. You are GOD the LORD. And You are the only one who can give true and lasting peace. Why? Because you are faithful, worthy, never changing, immovable, GOD the LORD. And You are the Great Promiser. As we look into Your eyes and Word, we see Your promise. “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because He trusts in You.” Father, today, we pray for steadfast minds; minds that are fixed upon You. Help us, Lord, for our minds tend to go so many places. Holy Spirit, we pray, continually call our minds back to GOD the LORD.”
Perhaps, if we memorize the promise, we will be better able fulfill our part and have a steadfast mind. Lord, we will try. Please help us. Memorizing scares us. But the Psalmist declared, “Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee (Psalm 119). GOD the LORD, with Your help, today, we will commit this promise to memory and thus to our hearts. And You will more and more keep us in perfect peace, however our day does or does not go. Praise to You, GOD the LORD. We love You!
