Rev. Gene Maddox began his ministry at Oneco UMC on July 3, 2016. Rev. Maddox graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree in 1982 and completed his Doctor of Divinity Degree at Asbury in 2004.

His wife’s name is Leslie and they have two adult daughters, Bethany and Hannah, and one grandson, Shane.

Rev. Maddox has been a member of the Florida Annual Conference since 1986 and has served at Asbury UMC in Maitland; First UMC in Interlachen; Trinity UMC in Palatka; First UMC in Brooksville; and Manatee UMC in Bradenton.
